Imperial closed its doors in 1998 and since the closure it has become increasingly hard to find. This is a marriage of whisky from just five ex-bourbon barrels, which yielded a total of only 600 bottles. This whisky showcases the beautiful character of Imperial, with an aged quality accenting vanilla and succulent fruit.
Tasting Notes: Nose: Densely-packed aromas: the summer notes of green leaves and strawberry creams balance nicely with mustier notes of incense, thyme and archived books.
Palate: Soft-yet-succulent, bringing forth fruity lychee and watermelon. Aromatic myrrh and wood spice mingle with refreshing elderflower cordial.
Finish: A whisper of grape, vanilla bean and dusty spice showcases the mature and layered character of the whisky.
