LONGMORN 22 YEARS OLD - 1997 VINTAGE - SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY BY THE SINGLE MALTS OF SCOTLAND

Nose: Distinctive and intricate – freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice is layered with black liquorice wands. A drizzle of chili-spiced honey meanders in, with dried lavender and a sprinkle of fresh thyme.

Palate: Sweeter on the palate than on the nose, with plenty of lemon sherbet and under-ripe peaches. A dash of cloves mingled with a helping of nutmeg brings an intriguing spiciness to the palate, accented by tart rhubarb.

Finish: Lingonberry jam endures, with a savoury touch in the form of salt-and-pepper cream crackers and a squeeze of lime juice.
