GLENTURRET 35 YEARS OLD - 1997 VINTAGE - SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY BY KINTRA WHISKY
The spirit was taken out of the cask mid 2013 because the cask was sold and taken to a bottler. The sale however never finalised. The spirit was put in a container and was held at the bottler until recently it was bottled under the Kintra label.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: It starts with excessive red fruit, red berries, strawberries and raspberries, also blueberries. Then honey, ginger and orange appear, but also bees wax. The red fruit are gone. A hint of chocolate is there as well.
Palate: The red fruit is back, and forest fruit. Very fruity. Then some chocolate appears and some nice winter spices, like cinnamon. Ginger. A hint of oak, and some caramel and toffee.
Finish: The finish is long and has hints of caramel, cinnamon, ginger and oak.
