A batch of five ex-bourbon barrels from Glencadam distillery has been used to create this single malt, distilled in 2011 and aged for more than 10 years. Bright, refreshing and bursting with fruit and grassy notes, a dram well suited as a tasty apératif.
Nose: Clean and fresh, presenting a combination of a vase of cut flowers and a Waldorf salad, drizzled with lemon and mint dressing. Conference pears and coconut marshmallows appear, rounding out the enticing nose.
Palate: Crisp meringue with a citrusy cream filling is garnished with a sprig of mint. Notes of unripe pear appear alongside a spoonful of confectioner’s sugar and a slice of Key lime pie. A touch of tannic dryness follows.
Finish: Bright, vibrant and grassy. A medium length finish, with a touch of black pepper.
