This is the third whisky in the Shizuoka Distillery's K series, using the ex-Karuizawa Distillery's steam-heated still K. This whisky uses 100% imported barley, including peated and non-peated malts from Scotland. It has the fruitiness and lightness of the still K, with a smoky taste from the peated malt. As well as being matured in bourbon casks, this is the first time the distillery has used sherry casks to enhance the complexity of the whisky's flavour. Only 3,000 bottles were produced.
