AN EMPOWERING WHISKY DINNER FOR CHARITY 🎀
For a meaningful whisky dinner where you can enjoy fine food and drink while raising money for charity, look no further than a special event in March to celebrate International Women's Day! With this year's International Women's Day theme being #AccelerateAction, Timeless & Tasty is teaming up with Table by Sandy Keung to organise a women's themed whisky pairing dinner for whisky lovers to come together and support women's empowerment and accelerate action for gender equality.
Hil, the founder of Timeless & Tasty, has always been an active supporter of women's rights, often working with local female entrepreneurs to celebrate women's successes and have a positive impact on the advancement of women. For this special dinner, Table Founder and Chef Sandy Keung has created a five-course menu, paired with five whiskies handpicked by Hil, to create a richly layered experience for guests. Known for her innovative culinary style and ozone depuration techniques for shellfish, Sandy Keung's unique presentation combines seasonal ingredients with the principles of traditional Chinese medicine and the 24 Solar Terms. The dishes are paired with different flavours of fine whisky, enhancing the flavours of the dishes and demonstrating the strength of a chef.
The menu is paired with whiskies including an exclusive bottling of Secret Highland 20 Years to celebrate Timeless & Tasty's 8th anniversary. Finished in PX sherry casks, the whisky delivers flavours of peat smoke, salty sea breeze, smoked aged meats and stewed tropical fruits, which pair perfectly with the aroma of Charred French Beef Onglet Steak. For dessert, chocolate sorbet with frozen black sesame rocks will be paired with Black Snake's VAT 6 Third Venom, exclusively bottled in Hong Kong, where the whisky's spice and nutty flavours are beautifully balanced with the dessert to add layers.
To ensure a well-rounded dining experience, the menu also includes Brittany Scallop and Threadfin Fish Crudo in kelp infused coconut with soya-dashi gelee followed by an exquisite combination of firefly squid, guanciale, braised pork belly and roquefort cheese foam. These dishes are carefully paired with complementary whiskies, enhancing the overall flavour profile and providing a balanced and memorable culinary journey.
The dinner will include an auction, with a portion of the proceeds going to RainLily and HER Fund, two charities dedicated to supporting women and providing resources and assistance to local women.
