Distilled in 1998 at Glenburgie distillery, this single malt whisky was aged in a single hogshead for more than 21 years. Patisserie delights abound with plenty of luscious fruit and a hint of spice. Only 227 bottles produced.
Tasting Notes: Nose: A bowl of ripe pears, peaches and pineapple sits next to a big, bright vase of fresh flowers on a sunny windowsill. Orange blossom, honey and ginger linger in the background.
Palate: Tasted neat, there is a gum tingling, fresh ginger heat and zingy fruit. With a few drops of water added, you are immediately transported to a French patisserie – custard-Danish pastries and crème patissière tarts. Other delights on display have pear purée and white chocolate sauce to adorn.
Finish: A sweet and fruity finish that lingers for a while, before tailing off to a light ginger spice at the end.
