This Clynelish single malt was distilled in 2011 and spent 8 years in five specially selected barrels. This sprightly whisky is an easy-drinking velvet and honeycomb dram. The Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Casks are bottled in small batches of four to six casks. Bottled at a consistent 48% with no added colour and no chill-filtration, the Reserve Casks are intended to suit the palates of both novices and experts alike.
Tasting Notes: Nose: Childhood favourites float into memory: honeycomb coated in milk chocolate, refreshing cloudy apple juice and a selection of juicy boiled sweets.
Palate: Delightfully herbal Linden honey mingles with the alluring flavour of custard-filled puff pastry. A pleasantly rich and unctuous texture on the palate.
Finish: The aromatic spiciness of cardamom and fenugreek is layered with a lovely mouth-coating quality.
