LEDAIG 11 YEARS OLD - 2005 VINTAGE - SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY BY THE SINGLE MALTS OF SCOTLAND

Nose: New leather, singed raisins, bicycle inner tubes, thick peat smoke and rich berry fruit – a classic sherried Ledaig. With time, cinder toffee, sour cherries and blackcurrant jam emerge from the smoky darkness.

Palate: Surprisingly approachable, with sweet barbecue glaze, wood smoke and thick raisin jam backed up by barrel char, tar and a distant tyre fire. The dried fruit and Christmas cake notes build, but don't become too sweet. Black liquorice sits underneath everything.

Finish: A burst of cherry menthol becomes tar and then sweet smoke. Smoke and spice linger.
