GLEN MORAY 9 YEARS OLD - 2007 VINTAGE - SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY BY THE SINGLE MALTS OF SCOTLAND
Nose: Milk-chocolate digestives, buttery caramel and pine needles kick things off. Citrus notes build: lemon and grapefruit zest with a hint of lime. Hints of sweet and spicy whisky liqueur peek around the sides.
Palate: Sherbet lemons, lemon zest and pith, toffee and a touch of salted caramel lead. Sharp notes dominate, although there is a sweet digestive biscuit background to give some balance. A drop of water calms things down, revealing sweet grapes, poached pears and soft spice.
Finish: Cocoa nibs and crunchy pears slowly fade beneath a sea of cream.
