GLEN ELGIN 12 YEARS OLD - SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY BY THE SINGLE MALTS OF SCOTLAND

Nose: Juicy fruit salad, drenched in triple sec, greets us. Ripe kiwi and crunchy apple are at the forefront, accompanied by a drizzle of lime juice. Next, crumbly marzipan icing and pistachio macarons.

Palate: Sticky honey syrup on caramel wafer biscuits. Victoria sponge with apricot jam and cream is joined by sugar-dusted churros. Crystalised pineapple arrives, sprinkled with a whisper of pepper, while we’re next treated to a glass of sweet iced tea.

Finish: Refreshing basil sorbet mingles with tangy-but-sweet strawberry coulis. A shadow of anise lingers, with the prickle of grated ginger.
