Tasting Notes: Nose: Fruity pipe tobacco, suede upholstery, oloroso sherry and a flaming Christmas cake. Dark, intense and sumptuous. Korean chicken wings, date syrup, gingerbread biscuits dusted with icing sugar.
Palate: Full-bodied texture with bunches of dried fruits – figs, cranberries – and leather. Dessert wine, cinnamon, nutmeg and orange peel. With water, there’s some eucalyptus and cough syrup as well.
Finish: All tannins and spice: peppermint, burnt fruitcake and sweet Russian caravan tea.
