CI14 - SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY BY ELEMENTS OF ISLAY

This is a marriage of one 2015 American oak hogshead, two 2012 ex-oloroso sherry butts and one 2013 ex-oloroso sherry butt, all from the Caol Ila distillery. This limited edition whisky benefits from its sherry butt components which contribute plenty of fruit and richness.

Nose: Coastal smoke appears, layered with smoked mackerel and fruit chutney. Pleasant savoury notes intertwine with caramel.

Palate: Even sweeter and richer than on the nose: layers of dried fruit, raspberry coulis and cherries. Orange rind combines with gentle smoke and spice.

Finish: Balanced and lasting with dark chocolate, bonfire embers and pomegranate seeds.
