DUFFTOWN 19 YEARS OLD - 1998 VINTAGE - SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY BY AD RATTRAY
At A.D. Rattray, they go to great lengths to source interesting and unusual casks which reflect the different styles and nuances of the 6 Scotch whisky regions. These are bottled at their natural strength and colour and without chill-filtration so that all of the wonderful flavours which have developed over years spent in the casks are retained. This Dufftown reminds us of a little bit of a rum.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: BBQ ribs, baked banana and molasses
Palate: Fullbodied and oily palate with gooey caramel and grilled pineapple
Finish: Big and bold with a suggestion of rum, raisin and aniseed
