Today is World Whisky Day, and with so many countries producing exceptional whiskies, it's time for Timeless & Tasty to take your taste buds on a journey around the world! The first stop is Scotland, where A.D. Rattray emulates the original Stronachie flavour at Benrinnes Distillery, making Stronachie 18 years. On the first sniff, you'll be greeted with strong notes of honey and heather, followed by an intense maltiness with hints of spice and lemon. The full-bodied texture is robust and oily-smooth, with flavours of malted biscuits and rich honey.

Our next stop is Finland, a country that also produces exceptional whiskies! The largest distillery in Finland is Teerenpeli, founded in 2002. The Teerenpeli Portti is aged for 3-4 years in bourbon casks before a finishing period of 1.5 years in Port Wine casks. On the nose, you'll discover a burst of red fruits from the Port Wine cask, followed by notes of vanilla and caramel. The palate offers a dry and spicy experience, with hints of nutmeg and white pepper.

Our tour continues across the Atlantic Ocean to the United States, a country known for its abundance of bourbon whiskies. Heaven Hill distillery, established in 1934, is one of the largest family-owned distilleries in the world. This Heaven Hill 12 Years has been aged in bourbon casks. On the nose, you'll be transported to a tropical beach with aromas of coconut, artificial strawberry sweets, and leather. The palate offers notes of almonds, dark chocolate and pineapple.

We take another long-haul flight and this time our destination is Japan! Landed in Shizuoka Distillery, we introduce Contact S, their third whisky after Prologue K and Prologue W. It’s a blend of distillates from both ex-Karuizawa distilling equipment and a wood-fired wash still from Scotland. Contact S was made using Japanese barley malt, Scottish peated and unpeated malt and German beer malt.

Our whisky journey takes us back to Europe, which may not be the most eco-friendly itinerary... but we are heading to Sweden! The High Coast Distillery, formerly known as Box Distillery, was named after the place that used to produce carton boxes. This American Oak whisky is aged for 4.5 years in bourbon casks before another 8 months in American Virgin Oak. Made with 100% peated barley, this whisky boasts intense notes of peat, toast, caramel, and smoke on the nose. On the palate, you'll discover a bold mix of wood, spices, dried fruits, and smoky peat. We hope you guys enjoy this wonderful whisky tour!
