DISTILLERY FOCUS: MACDUFF

Sep 27, 2023

Founded in 1960 in the Highlands of Scotland, Macduff Distillery was purchased in 1972 by William Lawson Distillers, a blended whisky merchant, and is now owned by the Bacardi Group and its subsidiary John Dewar & Sons. For many years the majority of Macduff's spirit was used as a base for blended whiskies. The single malt whisky bottled at the distillery is named after the river that runs alongside it, Glen Deveron. The distillery has two Wash Still and three Spirit Stills, an unusual setup that produces a smooth, balanced fruity whisky.

To celebrate Timeless & Tasty 7th anniversary, we have released two exclusive anniversary bottles. Themed around the women of Hong Kong, and featuring anime-style labels designed by illustrator Bobo Wong, the label showcases the vibrancy and charisma of Hong Kong's women against the backdrop of the spring and summer seasons. The Macduff 12 Years has exotic fruits like mango, pineapple, vanilla, and ripe banana on the nose. Ripe fruits, sultanas, vanilla, and cacao on the palate, perfectly encapsulating summer's exuberance.
