Which bottles will be opened at the Whiskies & More's Bar Take Over 2023?

A Highland Distillery 37 Years, priced at over HK$7,000, is also on the tasting list. Distilled in 1985 and matured in bourbon casks for 37 years, it has a rich apple flavour on the nose, palate and finish, with hints of cake, butter and gingerbread, followed by hazelnut at the finish. A well-aged and refreshing whisky to try!
In addition, specially prepared for fans of Japanese whisky, Shizuoka Distillery's Pot Still K is the latest whisky to be released by the distillery and only just arrived in Hong Kong in the middle of this year. Using the ex-Karuizawa Distillery's steam-heated still K, this whisky uses 100% imported barley, including peated and non-peated malts from Scotland. It has the fruitiness and lightness of the still K, with a smoky taste from the peated malt. As well as being matured in bourbon casks, this is the first time the distillery has used sherry casks to enhance the complexity of the whisky's flavour. A must try for any fan of Japanese whisky!
