Which bottles will be opened at the Whiskies & More's Bar Take Over 2023?

Sep 2, 2023
To celebrate Whiskies & More's 7th anniversary, we will be taking over Tiffany's New York Bar again on September 16-17, bringing you over 100 of our carefully selected specialty whiskies and spirits. There are a number of new premium whiskies on this year's tasting list, with the Bunnahabhain 44 Years, part of Elixir Distillers’ Director's Special series, not to be missed. From Islay and matured in a single cask for 44 years, it is full of fresh peppermint, oak, orange, mango, heather honey and tobacco flavours and the market price is over HK$13,000. This rare whisky is not for sale and available for sampling only.

A Highland Distillery 37 Years, priced at over HK$7,000, is also on the tasting list. Distilled in 1985 and matured in bourbon casks for 37 years, it has a rich apple flavour on the nose, palate and finish, with hints of cake, butter and gingerbread, followed by hazelnut at the finish. A well-aged and refreshing whisky to try!

In addition, specially prepared for fans of Japanese whisky, Shizuoka Distillery's Pot Still K is the latest whisky to be released by the distillery and only just arrived in Hong Kong in the middle of this year. Using the ex-Karuizawa Distillery's steam-heated still K, this whisky uses 100% imported barley, including peated and non-peated malts from Scotland. It has the fruitiness and lightness of the still K, with a smoky taste from the peated malt. As well as being matured in bourbon casks, this is the first time the distillery has used sherry casks to enhance the complexity of the whisky's flavour. A must try for any fan of Japanese whisky!

Tickets for this annual mega tasting event are priced at $120, and each ticket includes 2 drink tokens (valued at $60) and a bottle of water. Additional drink tokens can be pre-ordered and are also available for purchase on site for $30 each. The event will be held from 1.30pm to 8.30pm. Each ticket is valid for one admission only. Tickets are available while stocks last. All whisky and spirits lovers should take the opportunity to join!
